The Venice of the Lagoon
It might seem difficult to imagine a Venice different from that of the crowded areas of St Mark’s and the Rialto bridge, and yet the beautiful city lying on her lagoon offers secret, hidden corners.
There is an unexpected side to Venice that can be explored at a slow pace, and the only way to experience it is from the water.
There are about fifty islands in the Venice lagoon and more than half of them are in the northern part.
Murano, Burano and Torcello are the most famous islands,
but this evocative and fascinating area of the lagoon is full of lesser-known but equally interesting smaller islands. It is also a unique natural environment, where many rare animal and plant species coexist. Sant’Erasmo, le Vignole, the island of Lazzaretto Nuovo, and San Francesco del Deserto are some of the destinations you can reach with our vintage boat.
Enjoy an exciting journey, exploring the northern lagoon on board an elegant motorboat, with a pilot who also acts as a guide, recounting the history of the lagoon and its islands.
The tours are absolutely customisable and adapted to your needs.
Venetika Vintage Boat
After many years, the boat has returned to ply the waters of the lagoon, thanks to the enthusiasm and determination of one of the two partners and owners of Hostaria Venetika, Raffaele Scarpa (known as ‘Lele’).
This Super Adriatic, built at the historic Venetian boatyard Dalla Pietà, has been lovingly restored to its former glory.
Built in 1963 and the only one of its kind in the Venetian lagoon, the boat combines the elegance of the past – with the beautifully restored mahogany and teak, one of the strengths of the Dalla Pietà boatyard – with all the comforts and safety of today.
We offer 2-hour, 4-hour, and evening tours, as well as personalised itineraries.
